THE BUILDING
Built in 1916 as part of His Majesty’s Factory, Gretna—the largest ammunition factory in the UK during World War I—this structure stands as a vital reminder of the region’s wartime heritage. The front section of the building, once used for anti-aircraft operations.
Our vision is to preserve as much of the building as possible and transform the site into a vibrant community hub adjacent to the high-traffic Caledonia Park Designer Outlet.
We will be looking for volunteers and the community to share our passion to keep the heritage of this once great building.
